Floralora Flowers is a small, sustainably run flower farm in beautiful Prince Edward County, Ontario. We are committed to providing a wide range of enchanting, locally grown flowers and foliage of the freshest quality to bouquet subscribers, market goers, florists and special event planners.

Floralora Flowers is looking for someone awesome to come join our team! 

Who are we?

We are sustainable flower farm and seasonally inspired floral design studio, located in beautiful Prince Edward County, Ontario. In it's fifth year, Floralora grows approximately 3 acres of annuals, perennials, shrubs and vines. Our specialty cut flowers are mostly field grown and we also utilize a greenhouse and thee high tunnels for season extension and growing more fragile blooms. We sell locally and in Toronto to florists, grocery stores, subscription holders, market, local flower deliveries, weddings and events, run workshops and will be opening a roadside stand here on our farm this season.

Position:  This is a seasonal part-time position with the possibility to move to full-time. It is a multi-faceted position that includes, but is not limited to: Field preparation, greenhouse work, seeding, transplanting, weeding, pruning, irrigation, harvesting, post-harvest preparation of flowers, floral design, wedding/event installations, customer relations, market sales.

Who are you?

Requirements of an ideal candidate are as follows: 

-Confidence, good communication and teamwork skills a must.

-Ability to work independently at times

-Has a strong work ethic with a keen interest in growing

-Is committed and punctual

-Has outdoor work experience (ideally in farming)

-Has experience in design, art and/or craft with strong attention to detail

-Capable of handling full days outside in all types of weather, repetitive tasks, bending and lifting (50lb)

-Has the ability to work well in a team, and keep a sense of humour

-Has a valid G driver’s license and a reliable mode of transportation

-Can commit to working the whole season with the opportunity to return the following year(s).

Wage: Starting at $14/hr (does not include accomodation)

Schedule: Three days a week with the possibility for two more as the season progresses. 9-5 (ish)pm with 1 hour unpaid lunch.  Starting date flexible in April and running to the end of November.
